Roll of Honour: Derbyshire Men Who Fell 1914-1918 The ambition of this part of the site is to list every Derbyshire man who fell in the Great War! This is probably entirely unrealistic, but what the heck! The following details are largely compiled from two sources: 'Soldiers Died in the Great War' (1921) and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Both of these sources, especially the former, are prone to errors, and wherever possible I've tried to correct them. However if you locate errors I would be pleased to correct them. At present the register does not include Naval personnel and members of the RFC/RAF, but hopefully these will be added in time. Sherwood Forester Officers who fell can be found in the 'Sherwood Foresters' section of the website. This is a huge undertaking....please have patience!
