Pte. Stringer (Bomber)

Survived the war.

Pte. Keetley (Bomber)

Three Keetley's served in the Sherwood Foresters, two of whom were in the 1/7th Battalion. These were: Thomas (3458, renumbered 266005, of Sneinton) and George William (7383, renumbered 268062, of Radford). Thomas was killed in action on 01/07/16 and George William on 16/10/17. I would suspect that the man in Sid's section was Thomas, due to his original number and his reissued number matching the series of numbers of several other men in the section (i.e. originally a 3***, renumbered to a 266***). If it is Thomas, then his details are:

Private T. Keetley. Killed in Action. Enlisted Nottingham. Residence Sneinton.

Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Private
Date of Death: 01/07/1916
Service No: 266005
