3/6th (Territorial) Battalion

The 3/5th Battalion was formed at Chesterfield on 1st March 1915 with the purpose of training and supplying drafts to the 1/6th and 2/6th Battalions. On 8th April 1916 it was retitled the 6th Reserve Battalion and on 1st September 1916 it was absorbed into the 5th (formerly 3/5th) Reserve Battalion as part of the North Midland Reserve Brigade (Territorial Force) and thus ceased to exist.
