3/8th (Territorial) Battalion

The 3/8th Battalion was formed at Newark on 26 February 1915 with the purpose of training and supplying drafts to the 1/8th and 2/8th Battalions. On 8 April 1916 it became the 8th Reserve Battalion and on 1 September 1916 the 8th Reserve Battalion was absorbed by the 7th (formerly 3/7th) Reserve Battalion as part of the North Midland Reserve Brigade (Territorial Force) and thus ceased to exist.
